In this assignment, there has been discussion on the ways in which nurses and medical practitioners use the professional communication skills for developing a therapeutic relationship with patients. In this regard, the case of Raymond Nguyen is discussed for which the ways in which effective communication skills will be established through verbal and non-verbal communication mode along with the aspect of documentation. Situation Raymond Nguyen is a 63 year old male born in Vietnam which later migrated to Australia in the year 1979 as boat person. Having this basic information prior to his appointment, he has to be treated with modes of patient-centered care. Before having a meeting with Raymond Nguyen, the nurse or the assessor has to be very alert, oriented and cooperative mindset.
